DOK 2: SUMMARY: The Israelites went to Egypt looking for a better life.When they arrived the pharaoh was looking for slaves to build his pyramid. He inslaved the Israelites to build his pyramid. God sent Moses to free them. Moses lead the Israelites to the promise land (Canaan)
which Moses died on the way. Joshua took over the journey to Canaan. When Joshua passed away the Israelites looked to the judges for leadership. The judges were respected military leaders.
DOK 3: OPINION: I think that the Israelites were going to Egypt to have a shot at a better life. When they arrived in Egypt they probably wished they would have stayed back in Israel. Instead of a better life they're life was much worse because they were now enslaved. Moses was sent by God to free the Israelites from the Egyptian pharaoh. Mount sinai is where God met with Moses to give him his laws or 10 commandments. The Israelites asked Moses why he could not have just left them there to die in Egypt with lamb stew, bread, and comfort. If they were slaves, why were they not happy to leave? I understand that it was a long journey and there was not an ample amount of food.if you trust God, things will be fine.
